asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that persons travelling from Dublin to London have to pay 50 per cent. increase in their fares on the boat as well as the train journey if they book direct from Dublin, and if they book in separate stages the journey is 4s. cheaper; who is responsible for the charge on the boat journey and who is responsible for the increased charge put on within the last ten days; if he is aware that in pre-war days the fare, saloon and third class, was £2 17s. 9d. return, and that all last year it was £3 19s. 4½d. from Amiens Street, and within the last week it has been increased to £4 3s. 4½d.; and whether the boat company or the railway company receive the benefit of the increased charges?
