HC Deb 21 March 1918 vol 104 c1191W
Mr. BOWERMAN

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware of the refusal of the Watford Urban District Council to increase the number of Labour representatives on the local food control committee; whether he is aware that there are only two Labour representatives on the committee and that the Watford Trades Council asked that three more should be appointed; and whether he will make representations to the urban district council on the matter?

Mr. CLYNES

The question of Labour representation on the Watford Food Control Committee has recently been brought to the Food Controller's notice. He is making inquiries through the Food Commissioner as to the present position, and will consider, on receipt of the Commissioner's Report, whether the case is one in which further action is required.
