HC Deb 21 March 1918 vol 104 c1227W
Sir J. SPEAR

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he can now state the decision of the Government regarding the claims of the fishermen of Hallsands, Devon, for compensation for the destruction of their houses by the sea, consequent on the removal of the shingle from the beach?

Mr. A. STANLEY

I have just received a letter from the Treasury, and I will communicate with my hon. Friend on the subject.
