HC Deb 21 March 1918 vol 104 cc1214-5W
Lord H. CAVENDISH-BENTINCK

asked the President of the Board of Trade why a minimum war bonus has not been secured for the managerial and clerical staffs employed on controlled canals, seeing that railway officials in similar grades are receiving such a minimum payment?

Sir A. STANLEY

I am afraid I cannot usefully add to the reply on this subject given to the Noble and gallant Lord on the 18th March, except to say that where the staff of a controlled canal company are not receiving the war bonus to which they think they are entitled it is open to them to make representations to the company.
