HC Deb 18 July 1918 vol 108 c1262W
Colonel COLLINS

asked the Secretary for Scotland what school boards in Scotland have not carried out schemes for the medical examination of pupils?

Mr. MUNRO

Schemes for the medical examination of school children have been adopted by the whole of the school boards in Scotland, and, except in the county of Shetland, have actually been brought into operation. In some districts, however, the work has been temporarily interrupted owing to depletion of the medical and nursing staffs through the urgent demands of the War.
