HC Deb 21 February 1918 vol 103 cc950-1W
Colonel MILD MAY

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he can now state the result of the inquiry into the damage done to the houses of the fishermen at Hallsands, Devon, by the sea, consequent on the removal of the shingle; and will he state the amount of assistance the Government propose to give the fishermen towards the cost of rebuilding their houses, which is urgently needed, in order that they may carry on their work?

Mr. WARDLE

I hope to be able to inform the right hon. and gallant Member of the decision of the Government in this matter very soon.
