§ Mr. MILLARasked the Secretary for Scotland whether his attention has been called to the necessity for making immediate provision for the relief of the dependants of Russian subjects who have left this country to join the Russian Army, and to the absence of any arrangements to reimburse parish councils for the sums which have been already expended by them 1395W in payment of interim relief; and whether he will take steps to see that the necessary relief funds are provided in order to prevent the necessity of imposing a supplementary assessment for Poor Law purposes upon the ratepayers of the districts affected?
§ Mr. MUNROI have already brought this matter to the notice of the Departments interested, and it is engaging their consideration as a matter of urgency, in consultation with the Russian authorities.
