THORNEasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he is aware that men of the 178th Tunnelling Company, 4th Section, in France, joined up on condition that they would receive 6s. per day on arriving in France and passing the trade test; that up to the present time a number of men have not received the rate of pay to which they are entitled; and if he will state the reason for such breach of agreement?
