HC Deb 15 November 1917 vol 99 c610W
Mr. FIELD

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether, in view of the fact that married Irish prison warders not residing in prison cottages or quarters, the property of the General Prisons Board, were granted an increase in their rent allowance as far back as 13th June last, he will see that this increased allowance be paid forthwith?

Mr. DUKE

As I informed the hon. Member on the 22nd October, the details of this matter are very complicated, but it is hoped that a settlement will soon be arrived at.
