HC Deb 12 July 1917 vol 95 cc2147-8W
Mr. P. MEEHAN

asked the Comptroller of the Household, as representing the National Health Insurance Commissioners, if he is aware that the grants made to the Queen's County Insurance Committee for sanatorium benefit for insured persons are inadequate, and have been decreasing annually for the past five years; if he is aware that the reduction of the grants has deprived insured persons of benefits to which they are entitled; and whether he intends taking any action in the matter?

Sir E. CORNWALL

The sanatorium benefit income of Insurance Committees derivable from the funds of approved societies at the rate of 1s. 3d. per member has been diminished by reason of the enlistment of insured persons, and the question whether any action should be taken in the matter is already engaging my attention.
