HC Deb 20 February 1917 vol 90 c1174W
Mr. BYRNE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if he will consider the advisability of recommending the Government to take over the Dublin and Lucan Electric Railway; and if he is aware that this railway carries an average of 421,000 passengers per annum who have no other means of getting into the city of Dublin?

Mr. ROBERTS

My right hon. Friend has asked me to answer this question. I do not see my way to recommend the Government to take the action suggested by the hon. Gentleman; the undertaking referred to seems to be of a tramway character.
