asked the Under-Secretary of State for War why officers of the Territorial Force in Mesopotamia are treated differently in the matter of promotion to officers of the Territorial Force in France?

Mr. MACPHERSON

The same treatment in promotion is received by Terri- torial Force officers in Mesopotamia and in France. If my hon. Friend will furnish me with details of the case he has in mind, I shall be happy to have it investigated.

asked why promotions granted in the early part of 1916 to officers of the Territorial Force in Mesopotamia by publication in Force Routine Orders have not yet been given effect to in the "London Gazette"?

Mr. MACPHERSON

All promotions received from Mesopotamia by the War Office have been gazetted. If my hon. Friend will give me details of any that may have been accidentally omitted, it will be of assistance.
