HC Deb 12 February 1917 vol 90 c285W
Mr. BYRNE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland when the Dublin Corporation Vacant Land Cultivation Committee may expect to obtain from the Government sufficient land for cultivation in Phoenix Park; if he is aware that the committee have received applications from 400 persons for allotments in the park; and if he will say when these 400 persons will be allowed to do this work of national importance?

Mr. DUKE

Cultivation in the Phoenix Park of the only available land suitable for the purpose is being undertaken by the Board of Works, who are also making arrangements to place at the disposal of the Corporation Committee land suitable for allotment which is under their control.
