HC Deb 24 April 1917 vol 92 c2239W
Mr. GINNELL

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if he can state the qualification possessed by Mr. P. J. Killeen, Claremorris, for his appointment as Government purchaser of potatoes in Ireland for the military and military hospitals; and, in view of the duty of a county councillor in Ireland to conserve the food supplies of his county for its own people, and that his new job conflicts with this duty, whether Mr. Killeen will be required to relinquish his seat on the Mayo County Council?

Mr. DUKE

My hon. Friend the Financial Secretary of the War Office has answered the first part of this question. The answer to the second part is in the negative.
