HC Deb 19 April 1917 vol 92 cc1877-8W
Mr. O'SHEE

asked how many steamers registered in the United Kingdom are now trading between neutral ports?

Sir L. CHIOZZA MONEY

With the exception of vessels of a type unsuitable for general ocean-going work, and of vessels which make intermediate calls at neutral ports, all steamers on the register of the United Kingdom are directed into employment for the naval, military, supply, and export requirements of this country, the Empire, and the Allies.
