HC Deb 19 April 1917 vol 92 c1863W
Mr. P. WHITE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether application has been made to him for an account of the effects of the late James M'Connor, No. 65553, gunner, 76th Battery Royal Field Artillery, which occurred at Bagtche Amanus whilst prisoner of war on the 3rd September, 1916, and with what result; and whether, apart from personal effects, an allowance will be made in proportion to what he allowed those dependent on him?

Mr. FORSTER

Applications have been received, but there has not been time to close the account, as the report of the soldier's death has only recently been accepted for official purposes. The last part of the question should be addressed to my right hon. Friend the Minister of Pensions.
