HC Deb 04 April 1917 vol 92 cc1317-8W
Commander BELLAIRS

asked the Home Secretary whether the Government will give every facility to the unofficial committee, consisting of three legal Members of the House, which has been constituted to investigate the position of the osteopaths in relation to the medical profession; and whether the Government will assist war efficiency in another direction by appointing a committee of medical men to consider whether women are physically and mentally fitted to practice as barristers and solicitors and so release men for other services?

Sir G. CAVE

I have no knowledge of the first-named committee. The reply to the latter part of the question is in the negative.
