HC Deb 02 April 1917 vol 92 cc964-5W
Mr. SCANLAN

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the loss which would fall upon many of the small health resorts in Ireland through carrying out the decision of the Irish Railway Executive to abolish cheap booking this year to such health resorts, he will take steps for the assistance of these resorts in which numbers of struggling people make their livelihood by catering for visitors; and whether he can see his way to have the privilege of cheap booking continued in Ireland, more especially as the railway accommodation is ample for the purpose?

Mr. ROBERTS

I am afraid I cannot add to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Chief Secretary for Ireland to the question on this subject which was asked on Thursday last by the hon. and gallant Member for East Wicklow.
