HC Deb 02 April 1917 vol 92 cc951-2W
Sir W. COLLINS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War what was the standard of vision laid down for all arms of the Service for the duration of the War in September, 1915; whether this standard varied from that previously obtaining; whether any variations in the standard of vision have been made since 1915; and, if so, how many; and what is the standard now required?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am sending my hon. Friend copies of the instructions which give the standard of vision required in September, 1915, and the present standard. The former standard varied from that previously obtaining, and there has been one variation since, namely, the standard now required.
