On the basis of the Budget estimate, less deduction of the abandoned Railway Fare Duty, the contributions of England, Scotland, and Ireland to the revenue of 1916–17 are very roughly estimated as follows: England, £418,534,000; Scotland, £49,393,000; Ireland, £21,733,000.
