HC Deb 09 November 1916 vol 87 c424W
Mr. ROWLANDS

asked whether men of thirty-eight to forty years of age who have recently been called up are compelled to go on long route marches with men of twenty years, with the result that many have to fall out; and. if so, whether some other arrangement will be made?

Mr. FORSTER

Some evidence of the need for special instructions on this matter was disclosed, and instructions were accordingly issued which will have the effect of preventing any undue pressure or strain. Obviously it is a vital military interest that the physical well-being of all men under training shall be fully maintained.
