§ Mr. HUGH LAWasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what provision it is intended to make for remunerating pensions officers and clerks of local pensions committees and for meeting the expenses of pensions committees in connection with the additional work thrown upon them by the proposed inquiry into the present economic position of old age pensioners?
Mr. McKINNON WOODAs regards the clerks I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for East Donegal on the 7th instant. The question of granting extra remuneration to pension officers is under consideration.
