HC Deb 09 November 1916 vol 87 cc427-8W
Mr. BOYTON

asked the Secretary of State for War, if his attention has been called to the fact that a number of men who have not received the written notice asking them to present themselves for further medical examination under Section 3 (2) of the Military Service Act, (Session 2), have now received a call-up notice to present themselves for service, and that recruiting officers have refused to cancel such call-up notices when men claim to be exempt through not having received the pink form before the date mentioned in the Section referred to; and whether instructions will be issued on the subject?

Mr. FORSTER

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given to the hon. Member for the Bridgeton Division on 26th October.
