HC Deb 02 March 1916 vol 80 c1222W
Major Sir CHARLES HUNTER

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he will consider the possibility of arranging that during the period of the War officers of the Territorial Force who have served in the field and, owing to wounds or sickness, are transferred to the Territorial Force Reserve shall, until reappointed to duty, be entitled to half-pay of the rank held during such transference?

Mr. FORSTER

I think there may be some misapprehension. Officers wounded or whose sickness is due to military duty should not be transferred to the Territorial Force Reserve or left without some pay, half pay or pension. If the hon. Member has a particular case in mind, perhaps he will communicate with me.
