asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if some relaxation in the Regulation which precludes the near relatives of soldiers accompanying them on to the pier at Folkestone can be carried out, such as granting passes on payment of a fee, as is arranged for at railway stations?

Mr. TENNANT

No, Sir; I fear that any relaxation would not be in the public interest.
