Sisson, a skilled electrical engineer, who has been arrested under the Military Service Act and put into the Army; and whether, in view of the shortage of skilled workmen in connection with munitions factory work, he proposes to take any action in this case?
§ Dr. ADDISONIn reply to my hon. Friend, no complaint was received by my Department with reference to W. A. Sisson until after he had been called up. The attention of the War Office has been called to the fact that W. A. Sisson claims to be a skilled electrician, and I understand that my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for War has given instructions by telegraph to secure that he shall be immediately trade-tested at Woolwich, with a view to his transfer, if suitable, to a technical corps in which his skill can be utilised.
