HC Deb 21 August 1916 vol 85 c2304W
Mr. S. SAMUEL

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the fact that men who have been previously rejected as medically unfit for military service are to be called up and subjected to a further medical examination, he will arrange for such inspection taking place locally; is he aware that it is proposed to send such men from the Saffron Walden district, pass them through London to Warley Barracks, and pay their expenses there and back; and, seeing that there are at least 600 men from this district to be examined, will he, in the interest of public economy, send Army doctors to Saffron Walden to do the work there?

Mr. FORSTER

Inquiries are being made, and I will let my hon. Friend know the result.
