§ Mr. KINGasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will allow Members of Parliament, on personal application, to receive confidentially information concerning the casualties suffered by our forces on the various fronts; and whether public announcements can be made from which the nation may gather a more complete estimate of the military position?
§ Mr. FORSTERAs the Prime Minister has stated, there is no objection to any Member being shown privately and confidentially from time to time the total casualties for all theatres of war. I am 2299W not clear to what my hon. Friend refers in the latter part of the question, but I can assure him that every effort is made to publish as full information as possible, subject to military expediency, of the progress of the British operations in the various theatres.
