HC Deb 04 March 1915 vol 70 c986W
Sir JOHN HARMOOD-BANNER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether his attention has been called to the losses incurred by cotton spinning companies in India in consequence of the failure of the supply of aniline dyes; and if any steps have been taken to provide a sufficient supply for future manufacturing purposes?

Mr. C. ROBERTS

The Secretary of State has rendered all the assistance in his power, in communication with the Board of Trade, to Indian users of dyes to enable them to procure from holders and manufacturers of dye-stuffs in this country a fair share of the available supplies, and to obtain licences to export these commodities to India.
