HC Deb 04 February 1915 vol 69 cc156-7W
Mr. HOGGE

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether the Treasury and the Civil Service Commission have now considered the question of the arrangements that will obtain with regard to age, military service, etc., of such men who are missing their ordinary opportunities of examination by reason of temporary service with the Colours?

Mr. ACLAND

Arrangements are being made to allow the whole time spent on service in the Army or Navy to be deducted from actual age by candidates competing for appointments in the Home Civil Service, any service of more than three months but less than a year being counted as a full year.
