The number of barrels of beer at the standard gravity charged with duty in England, Scotland, and Ireland, respectively, in the months of December, 1913, and December, 1914, was as follows:—

I may point out that these figures relate to the first completed month under the new conditions; no conclusion as to the ultimate effect of the change can yet be arrived at.
