§ Mr. CURRIEasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether His Majesty's Government is now in a position to assure the cocoa trade and consumers of cocoa in this country generally that the conditions of native labour in the Portuguese colonies are satisfactory; and, if so, whether steps will be taken to make this widely known, in view of the commercial treaty entered between this country and Portugal in August of last year?
