HC Deb 26 November 1914 vol 68 c1331W
Major MURRAY

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether the hours of duty of the men in the Anti-aircraft Service are four and a half to five hours every second night; and, if so, in view of the time of year and of the fact that most of the men are professional men fully occupied during the day, he will consider the advisability of reducing this number of hours by taking advantage of the waiting list and increasing the strength of the service?

Dr. MACNAMARA

The hours of duty were fully pointed out to the members of the corps on enrolment, and no complaints have up to the present been received. Should any officer or man find the strain too great his post could, no doubt, be filled from the large waiting list, which now amounts to several hundreds.
