HC Deb 25 November 1914 vol 68 c1145W
Sir FORTESCUE FLANNERY

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what steps are being taken as to the equivalent duty on private home-brewed beer to correspond to the duty on beer brewed for sale?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

No change is proposed as regards persons who brew beer for domestic use, except that in cases where they are liable to duty on the beer brewed by them, they will be charged at the proposed increased rate as in the case of beer brewed for sale.
