HC Deb 25 November 1914 vol 68 cc1133-4W
Mr. HUGH EDWARDS

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether, in view of the fact that the two admirals entrusted with the duty of intercepting the "Goeben" in the Mediterranean have, as a result of an official investigation, been declared to be free from all blame in the escape of the German vessel, the Admiralty will now issue an official explanation of the whole incident?

Mr. CHURCHILL

A partial explanation would be of no value, and the time has not yet come when all the facts can be published, without prejudice to vital interests.
