HC Deb 25 November 1914 vol 68 c1133W
Colonel WARDE

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the inadequacy of the postal arrangements between this country and the front, resulting in some cases in neither letters nor parcels being received posted as long as two months ago; and whether he can take steps to remedy the hardship complained of?

Captain NORTON

I understand from the military authorities that, generally speaking, the mail service between this country and the British Expeditionary Force is working satisfactorily. There have been some cases of delay, but they have been mainly due to the rapid movements of the troops and to the detachment of the addressees from their units.
