§ Captain WARINGasked the Secretary for Scotland whether the Fishery Board for Scotland have lately appointed a Departmental Committee to consider the position of inshore fishermen on the northwestern and northern coasts of Scotland; if so, what are the terms of reference of this Committee; to what counties does it apply; and which members of the Board compose the Committee?
Mr. McKINNON WOODI am informed that the Fishery Board for Scotland has appointed a Committee of members of the Board, consisting of the deputy-chairman, the Marquess of Breadalbane, Provost Malcolm Smith, and the secretary. The Committee is to investigate the condition of the inshore fisheries on the west and north coasts and in the Outer Islands, and to report to the Board.
