Mr. TYSON WILSONasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he is aware that the Aldershot Council has decided to pay all the able-bodied workmen employed by the council a minimum wage of 24s. per week; if he is aware that the men employed in the Field Stores Department at Aldershot are paid a considerably less wage than this; and whether he will take steps to increase the wages of these men to at least the minimum paid by the council?
Mr. BAKERThe War Department minimum rate at Aldershot will shortly be increased to 22s. I am not aware of the decision referred to in the first part of the question.
