HC Deb 26 February 1914 vol 58 cc1963-4W
Mr. CHARLES BATHURST

asked the Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture (Ireland) whether, seeing that more than twelve months have elapsed since the issue of the Annual General Report of his Department for 1911–12, it is proposed to issue that for 1912–13 at an early date; and whether steps can be taken to accelerate the publication of these Reports, so that they may form a record of the proceedings of the Department up to within a few months of their publication?

Mr. T. W. RUSSELL

The Annual General Report of the Department was presented to Parliament on the 25th instant, and copies will be available in a short time. The Report deals with the operations of the Department up to the close of the agricultural year. In view of the large amount of statistical and other returns which have to be obtained from the various committees, schools, and institutions working under the Department, it is not practicable to complete the Report at an earlier date.
