§ Colonel SEELYThere are about 6,800 Imperial troops in South Africa. To the annual cost, as stated on page 215 of the Army Estimates, should be added £146,000 341W in respect of the cost of sea transport and other items of expenditure incurred outside the limits of South Africa, but on account of the troops stationed there. No representations have been made by the South African Government in opposition to the withdrawal of Imperial troops.
