HC Deb 02 April 1913 vol 51 c396W
Mr. PATRICK O'BRIEN

asked the Chief Secretary whether he will furnish a Return of the number of Royal Irish Constabulary officers and men serving and on pension subscribing to the C. F. Fund, benefit branch, on the 31st March, 1913, and also the number of officers and men, drawing their pensions on the same date, who ceased to subscribe to the fund on and after leaving the service; and is he aware that each district inspector in Ireland could complete this Return at short notice from the pay bills which will be in his possession from the 2nd April until 1st May, when they are transmitted to the county inspector and from thence to the finance branch at Dublin Castle?

Mr. BIRRELL

The number of members of the Royal Irish Constabulary now serving who subscribe to the Constabulary Force Fund is, approximately, 904, including twenty-nine officers, and the number of pensioners subscribing is 5,101, including eighty-six officers. The number of officers and men now on pension who ceased to subscribe to the fund on and after leaving the force is not available, and could not be easily obtained.
