During the period indicated by the hon. Member the mail trains due at Wick at 12.40 and 4 p.m. arrived late on forty and forty-two occasions respectively, the average lateness in each case being twenty-four minutes. The mail trains due at Thurso at 12.33 p.m. and 3.45 p.m. were late on forty-eight and fifty-two occasions respectively; the average lateness being twenty-eight and thirty-eight minutes respectively.
