HC Deb 21 October 1912 vol 42 c1748W
Mr. BOLAND

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the overcharge made by the Great Western Railway on a light crate containing the body and chassis only of a coach-built motor side-car, consigned to the owner at Kenmare, from Birmingham; whether he is aware that a charge of 12s. 6d. was made for the carriage of the same article to Westport; and whether, in view of the fact that Kenmare is only about thirty miles further by rail, steps will be taken to secure that the charge of 31s. 3d. is reduced?

Mr. BUXTON

Inquiries are being made into this matter, and I will inform my hon. Friend of their result.
