§ Mr. RUNCIMANIn 1909, 106,834cwts.; in 1910, 55,475 cwts.; and in 1911, 292,575 cwts. of herring caught by trawl were landed in England and Wales. The investigations referred to in the second part of the question are still proceeding, and the Board are not yet in a position to draw any definite conclusions on the subject.
