HC Deb 04 November 1912 vol 43 cc865-6W
Sir HENRY KIMBER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the British Government have any undertaking from the other members of the six-Power group that each Power will provide its share of any loan or loans that may be agreed to be made by the group to China, or will the London market be used for raising any such foreign shares of such loan?

Mr. ACLAND

As I stated in reply to a question by the hon. Member for Ever-ton on the 10th ultimo, it has been agreed that each of the six groups shall be entitled to an equal share in any loan which may be negotiated, but the financial measures which the groups may see fit to take in order to raise their shares of the loan are a matter of internal arrangement among themselves.
