asked the Under-Secretary of State for War the number of officers, by ranks, in the reserve of officers as shown in the Army List on 1st January, 1912; the number of captains in the reserve of officers now serving in the Special Reserve, Yeomanry, and Territorial Army; the number of captains in the reserve of officers serving abroad; the number of captains in the reserve of officers resident in the United Kingdom not serving in the Special Reserve, Yeomanry, and Territorial Army, and who have been in the reserve of officers less than three, years; and if he will give the same information in respect of subalterns in the reserve of officers?

asked how many Infantry captains and subalterns, respectively, of the General Reserve of officers are, according to the latest Army List, resident in the United Kingdom and liable for foreign service; and how many of these are at present serving with the Special Reserve, the Yeomanry, or other branches of the Territorial Force?
