asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can state the number of deeds in England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, respectively, on which penalties have been paid for after-stamping during the period from 1905 to 1910; the amount paid in respect of the said after-stamping; and the amount of penalties remitted or repaid?

I am unable to give the number of deeds on which penalties have been paid for after-stamping during the period mentioned, or the amount of penalties remitted otherwise than by actual repayment. The amount of the penalties received and the amounts subsequently repaid are as follows:—
