HC Deb 07 March 1912 vol 35 cc682-3W
Sir THOMAS ESMONDE

asked the Chief Secretary if he has now received sufficient proof of the desire for the establishment of a Public Trustee for Ireland; and if he will deal with the question this Session?

Mr. BIRRELL

I know that there is a demand in some quarters for the extension of the Public Trustee Act to Ireland, but as legislation on the subject would certainly be contentious, I cannot hold out any hope during the present Session.
