HC Deb 07 March 1912 vol 35 c689W
Mr. HAROLD CAWLEY

asked the Postmaster-General whether additional men engaged to deal with extraordinary work during the last Christmas season were in certain places in Lancashire required to be under forty years of age; and, if so, what was the reason for this requirement?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

The ordinary limit of age is forty-five. I have no knowledge of the cases referred to; but if the hon. Member will furnish full particulars I will make inquiry.
