HC Deb 20 June 1912 vol 39 c1980W
Captain CRAIG

asked whether the Ancient Order of Hibernians is qualified as an approved society under the National Insurance Act; whether the political aims of this society are known to the Government; and what are the number of members and the amount per annum it would be entitled to for inaugural and management expenses if approved?

Mr. MASTERMAN

A separate section of the Ancient Order of Hibernians has become an approved Society and has been published in the first list of approved societies. I have no information as to the number of members that approved section will contain. Management expenses are limited to 11d. per quarter per member, and a special allowance of 1s. per member is allowed for preliminary expenses.
